Someone is going to leave. My mood is complicated. I feel overhamed all the time with him. Nothing is going to do with he and me. He is not satisifed with many things I do. I got frustrated. I am not confident to do most of the things because I am worried that if he will blame me again and again. Now he is going to leave and will work in another department. Probably it's a great chance for me to have a nice work environment.

Everytime I think about him, I wanna cry. I don't know how to solve this problem. I just think he doesn't like me at all. I feel it's unfair. I do many things actually, and I am always not free. Even though he thinks that I HAVE TO do it absolutely.

Whatever, it was my life. I want to remind myself that I should reflish the life I have. Hopefully, my new boss will treate me much better. People say that he is serious, but I still hope that he is serious but kind. He wont' treate that way as like the previous one.

The good thing is that at least I didn't change to another department 2 months ago. It was a sutiable decision. Here, I should tell myself that the BAD thing will be gone finally.

This is my resolution for this year,2012.

The season I like most is summer. That is because I can swim. The weather is occasionally sunny. Even though the weather can be very hot, but I feel very great after entering a place when people turn on the air conditioning, for instance, McDonalds.

Many people say that the army turns boys into men. I think this is not true.

You will hear that the army turns boys into men, but it is a myth. The boys who turn into men after leaving the army is because they get a lot of training and the time is for boys to turn into men at that moment. I mean that even though some boys do not join the army, they go to other places(another place) where some seniors teach them rules, such as how to process things better, like how to be men, etc. They still can be turned into men.

Eating food is one of my favorite interests. I often go to a restaurant without thinking a lot, and it is only because the restaurant attracts my eyes. It means I am concerned about how the restaurant is decorated and its atmosphere. A relaxing mood makes me feel comfortable and pleasant. I especially like the exotic restaurants which are western style, such as Italian restaurants. However, I do not like cold food. A common example is Star Bucks where the food is overpriced. Aside from this, the atmosphere is very classy.

Food quality is very important for me, too. I prefer to eat hot and not too greasy food. I do not like too many mixed flavors of food because I think I can’t taste the original flavor of food. (Overbearing) Moreover, trying different kinds of food appeals to me. A few months ago, I tried to have traditional Thai food which is spicy and special, but it is expansive, though.

Service is the most important thing that I really care about. From time to time, I go to restaurants because I want to be served as a VIP guest. I enjoy that the waiter and waitress treat me very politely. I know that they actually do not know me, but I just love that kind of personal feeling.

If you could have your own business, what would it be?

In my mind, I dream that I could have a cool flower shop.

The flower shop would be filled with some good, pleasant aroma all the time. People would feel extremely happy when they come here and they would think about it after leaving whereever they are.

The flower shop would be decorated with very beautiful stuff. Everyone would feel calm and it would be very quiet. It is likely that someone just entered to a magical world that totally different from the realistic world, which is noisy and people have many casual arguments. Everyone is not peaceful and the boss is often rude, emotional and not reasonable, especially in the office.

The flower shop would offer an online Internet service as well. You could get flowers easily over the Internet whenever you are really busy and you just can not get away. Plus, you would see a very dreamful website that you wound not want to close your eyes because it would be really very wonderful and make you release pleasure.

In addition, it would offer multiple languages to help you make a order. We would try to satisfy all of you, who would be from over the world.

By the way, the flower shop would be very huge. You would not see crowded people here. People would feel relaxed and have fun. Couples could date here, too. We could support some special restaurants for different purposes. Parents could bring their children for celebrating their birth, and they would need flowers for creating an atmosphere.

The best travel experience I have had is Vancouver, Canada. It is a place that has a slow place that people are kind and not in a hurry. I have been to a few countries, but it impressed me because I probably stayed there longer, so that I got to know it more. I knew many classmates because I went there for learning English and I stayed in an English institute. My classmates and I went to travel together on the weekend.

First, for safety, I paid for the picking fee for asking someone to take care of me and to take me to my host family where I would stay for one month. It was the first time I saw snow. I was surprised and felt very happy to touch snow that I hadn’t seen before.

Second, I stayed there for one month, so I got a lot of time to get together with my classmates, compared with staying for ten days in California. My classmates who are from different countries, such as Korea, Japan and Italy went with me to visit China town. We chatted a lot and shared different cultures. The time was peaceful and the classmates have always been friendly.

Third, the host daughter took me to a night club. I got drunk because I drank too fast. I couldn’t stand up by myself. The event scared me actually, but I still had fun. I like to dance and I danced there a lot.

Finally, the institute, Intrax, arranges a lot of English courses for students. My English really has improved a lot. Especially, I liked the pronunciation class where the teacher would correct everyone’s pronunciation carefully. Anyway, it was the first time I went to another country and I took a plane by myself. I hadn’t taken an international airplane before. Everything interested me indeed. I really had a great time at that moment.

I chose this topic because of the topic in the text book. I know this is a very popular movie. It has had two versions released. I bought this movie from a DVD shop. I think that it’s a great movie. Actually, I do not understand the whole movie. I guess that is because I do not understand stock very well. So I do not understand why the mentor of the lead character committed suicide in the subway.

In the movie, the male lead character has a girlfriend. He admires the girl friend’s father, Michael Douglas’ Gordon Gekko, who is good at making money, such as stock. However, her father is trying to cheat him. Her father is trying to get closer to her. I love the scene very much. Her father is very tender and he pretends that he loves his daughter deeply. I trust the scene at that moment but it is fake. It is a dishonest way to get her money from the bank, where he stole it from, before entering jail.

Suggestions:

The dishonesty of Wall Street is discussed in the movie because the father cheated his daughter out of a lot of money.

The last TV program , ‘The Fierce Wife’ I saw

It is a welcome TV program, “The Fierce Wife” which talked about having an affair. I know about it from my boy friend. We watched it together and discussed it as well. The female leader, Ann and the male leader, Wisely, lived together and had a warm family. One day, Ann’s daughter-in-law, Way, came back from the U.S. and stayed with them. So, the male leader and Way, the mistress, loved each other. That means Wisely had an affair. Later, Ann and Wisely got divorced. For a while, Wisely lost his job and he relied on his ex-wife. So they, three people lived together.

However, the new couple were not happy actually. Way went back to the U.S. Wisely asked his ex-wife to get together. But Ann had changed her personality after divorcing with her ex-husband. So Ann didn’t accept his request. At the end, Ann got closer with her male friend, Blue, who encouraged her and helped her to be more confident. The director didn’t tell us if they got together at the end, so that it is an open ending. But I guess they really got together finally. At least, she didn’t agree to be together with her ex-husband.

In my opinion, it is not a great idea to be a mistress. That will destroy others’ marriage. I do not think that we can have a happy life if we really destroy others’ marriage. I agree that we can love a person who we like, but I still think it is a bad idea to fall in love with a person who already has a partner. What do you think of this?

BNE: Is English the world’s Lingua Franca? A report from the British Council announced yesterday estimated that by 2015 two billion people will start learning English around the world, and three billion people – half the planet – will be speaking it. However, report editor, David Graddoll, said that English will not become the Esperanto and dominate global language learning as Arabic, Chinese and Spanish are set to rise in importance. He said the trend is towards “linguistic globalization” and multi-lingualism, not bilingualism, and definitely not monolingualism. French, on the other hand, once considered a lingua franca, will see its status as a world language continue to slide.

Although English will escalate in popularity, English language teachers will likely be out of a job by 2050, when so many people will be able to speak English, that teaching it will become almost redundant. Demand for English teaching will drop by a whopping 75%, from two billion to 500 million. Instead English will be taught worldwide at elementary level, and many universities across the world will choose to teach in English. This suggests a wake-up call for traditionally lazy and monolingual Britons, who tend to shun language learning because of their “everyone speaks English” mentality. Brits will be left behind in a future poly-lingual world.

Do you think violence in the media leads to an increase in violence in society? Why or why not?

In my humble opinion, I think violence in the media leads to an increase in violence in society. That is because that people are good at imitating actions. When we see the violent media, for instance, movies, magazines,television programs, we get the impression in our mind. So some people just imitate the actions one day. It is totally terrible. We can see the social news, and find out some crimes did the bad things that because they saw the violent movies, for example, killing people crucially, robbing in the bank.

According to social learning theory, human beings can learn violence just as other actions, using computers, learning English, taking a bus etc. Also, violence influences can be divide to several levels, like baby, child, teenage, adult and so on. And that is why we have movie ratings. You can see this “Rated R: Restricted. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian” in front of movie theater.

Therefore, I would say that violent media does influence people’s mind. However, we can not eradicate all of the violent media. That is because violent media comes with good and bad aspects. The good aspect is that when we see it, we also can create some ideas. Maybe we can figure out some unique ideas, and benefit human beings. Violent media can be very exciting , and people just like it. Moreover, they see it as a kind of entertainment, having fun, killing time and so on. In contrast, violent media can be learned by people. What if people do the crazy things after watching it. Also, from time to time, it depends on a person’s personality and individual. Some people may see it just for fun and nothing will happen; however,others may hurt other people.

Generally speaking, I understand that violent media will lead to an increase in violence in society, but I still think that we, human beings should keep going. We do not know what will happen in the next generation. But we should spread violent media more carefully.

We got an internship fair yesterday afternoon. Originally, I just knew a little about it as Jackie,who is a Kaplan staff, mentioned it.

After intervewing with the internship members, I found that it was very totally a perfect job. In my opinion, if we want to improve our English quickly, it's the BEST way. The visiting of San Francisco

This is my first visit to San Francisco. I feel very excited. However, I will stay for one more week. That means I will leave SFO on March 2rd. Now I just know some classmates who came here with me at the same time. I was thinking how could I visit some beautiful and amazing places San Francisco. Originally, I think that probably I can invite my classmates to go to some places together, then we also can discuss some routes or plan some interesting paths before visiting some sciences. But I am really in a hurry to go. My classmates and I do not know very well so far.

Therefore, I went to pier 39 last night by myself. I took a map and asked the secretary Kaplan to make sure how to get there. Also, I checked out the map that I bought, which gives me more details of transportation. So I realized that I can take F Line to get to PIER 39. However, the problem was that I couldn’t find out where I could take F Line. The map only shows that I can take F LINE MARKET street. I walked to market street for a few minutes. Finally, I asked a lady who looks very friendly and kind. She didn’t know the details, but she still tried to help me. She used her cellphone to make sure about the transportation. Then I found the train. I am so happy that I can go there myself.

When I went there, it was late. So I couldn’t take a boat to see the ocean. But I still found a seafood restaurant to taste. I ordered a crab soup and a Tuna fish. I do not like this food very much actually, but I really wanted to try it and experience food. That’s why I came here.

Finally, I planned to come back to downtown. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the F LINE station as well. I tried to ask some people, and I found it finally. I really felt exhausted. But I did have fun.

My Future Goals

I’d like to be a diplomat. I hope that I can make a lot of money in the near future. So that’s why I came here. I hope that I can speak English very well and communicate with foreigners without thinking.

As for my personal life, I want to take piano lessons. Actually, I have taken it before when I was in an elementary school. Then I gave it up because I had been busy to study and find jobs and so on. In my humble opinion, playing piano is very cool and makes me look more elegant. Also, it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. You’ll see it soon.

Me, well I did a 14000 foot tandem jump in Sydney about 12 or so years ago. A lot of fun, but over too quickly. We had a group of about 20 people all pitch in a bit of money to take a friend for his 30th birthday. Even though it took about 2-3 months of planning, and his 7 year-old son knew about it, we somehow managed to keep it as a surprise gift. Everyone just turned up at his place at 7am one Saturday morning and his wife hired a bus and driver to take us to the skydiving center. He was blindfolded and led to the bus and it was only after that that we told him he was about to jump out of a plane.
