1.  Do you think television has a positive or negative impact on contemporary society? Which opinion do you agree with? Use specific reasons to support your choice.

   In my point of view, I think that television has both a positive and negative impact on society.  The advantage of TV is that we can get much useful information quickly.  For instance, we can see the children’s TV programs, such as YoYo TV which is educational.  These kinds of TV programs are interesting and stimulating / visually appealing. The disadvantage of TV is that we will get inappropriate content, such as violence or bloodshed / disturbing images which has not been selected appropriately by the media. In summary, I think that we should try to choose the best channels to watch.

2.  Do you think high schools should teach music and art as well as other basic sciences?

   In my opinion, I think that music and art are important for students who are growing up at the moment. However, basic sciences are the foundation of the education system.  Therefore, I think we can teach music, art and other basic sciences at the same time, but we should only teach the basic parts of music and art. This is not only to find out about the potential talent of the students, but also to build up their abilities in music and art.
