Australian-Remarkable Rocks

The impressive Remarkable Rocks form what appear to be a cluster of precariously balanced boulders. This stunning geological feature is located in Flinders Chase National Park on Kangaroo Island.

See Admirals Arch, another of nature's wild sculptures, where New Zealand fur seals can be seen frolicking in the waters or resting on the rocks. See the Cape du Couedic Lighthouse and Lightkeepers cottages and Weirs Cove, the original landing site for the lighthouse settlement.

The park provides you with the opportunity to see plants and wildlife, including echidnas, Cape Barren geese, koalas, and an abundance of bird life and plants. Some animals such as kangaroos, wallabies and possums are best observed at dusk or early morning.

Follow one of the walking trails, varying in length and degree of difficulty, including the Platypus Waterholes Walk and spectacular hikes to the coast.

Bookings are essential if you wish to stay in the historic cottages.
