My boss treats me like crap, what should I do?

I work as a rehab receptionist. I got the job through a temporary agency and I don't know how long I'm going to be their. This is my first job out of college and things are going really wrong. The rehab director is really mean. She has disrespected me four times in front of therapist, nurses and residents. I have been working for three months. I don't know what to do. I don't want to quit because I’m scared that if I do it will become a habit. I have also never worked before and I wonder if maybe I'm being too sensitive. When she is having a bad day and she calls me to her office I start to shake, stomach starts to hurt, and I feel really nervous. I have never defended myself when she yelled at me and I feel that is why she continues doing it. I don't defend myself because I hate confrontation and I get scared that I might take things to far. I really don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?
