Boundaries may be hard to keep working in a persons home after all you watch their kids and the the line between employee and employer sometimes gets blurred.

Be careful what you share, this isn't a time to make friends, tell your life story or be admired, this is a job and a professional one at that! For both Mom and nanny this struggle may be undefined from the start and hard to refocus later if one party is feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Over friendliness may lead to lack of work by the nanny or lack of consideration by the parent viewing the nanny as a friend who does favors outside of her working hours or her job description.
